These little guys bring new meaning to the phrase "small but mighty".
Stanford researchers have constructed micro robots capable of pulling objects 2,000 times their own weight. To put it into perspective, an adult human would have to drag a blue whale across land with a rope to keep up!
The robots, dubbed "MicroTugs", utilize controllable adhesives that mimic similar substances found in nature; ants use a comparable adhesive to carry large objects.
